AGREEMENT FOR VOLUNTEER SERVICES

The undersigned, for and in consideration of the County allowing him or her to participate in volunteer programs at the Animal Control Unit and other good and valuable consideration, hereby agrees as follows: 1. The undersigned will comply with all rules, regulations and policies of Glynn County and its Animal Control Division, together with all other applicable federal, state and local law in the performance of services in connection with the Glynn County Animal Control Unit. 2. The undersigned agrees to comply with the instruction and direction of the ranking Glynn County employee on duty in the Glynn County Animal Control Unit during the time the undersigned is rendering volunteer services at the Glynn County Animal Control Unit. 3. The undersigned agrees that he or she will not be paid or otherwise compensated for volunteer services rendered for the Glynn County Animal Control Unit. 4. The undersigned acknowledges that the nature of any work which might be available at the Glynn County Animal Control Unit to volunteers, or others such as the undersigned, is inherently dangerous and the undersigned fully assumes the risks thereof. 5. The undersigned acknowledges that he/she understands that they are not employees of Glynn County for any purpose including without limitation Workers’ Compensation, Social Security, health benefits, disability benefits, income tax or other purposes. 6. Further, the undersigned does hereby release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless Glynn County, its officers, agents, and employees from any and all claims, demands, and causes of actions, including attorneys fees and litigation expenses made against them, singularly or collectively, by any person or entity and for any cause resulting from said volunteer services at or for the Glynn County Animal Control Unit excepting the sole negligence of the party against whom the claim is made.

I UNDERSTAND THAT MY SIGNATURE WILL BE REQUIRED ON A PRINTED COPY OF THIS AGREEMENT. THIS AGREEMENT REMAINS THE PROPERTY OF GLYNN COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES.
